COUNTING NIGHT BIRDS

Categories: news_home,news2019

In the night of the Delta, many species of nocturnal birds such as little, barn and long-eared owls and red-necked nightjars are hidden in the middle of the dark … but often we do not know how to recognize what species it is or where it is …

This year we will have the opportunity to enjoy a new activity “Census of nocturnal birds” in which we will learn to locate and count these nocturnal bird species, as well as to identify their songs and claims.

We will do it by the hand of Jordi Baucells, biologist and technical training engineer, and president of the ICO. Passionate naturalist, he regularly dedicates himself to studying the nocturnal birds of prey of Catalonia.
