VISITING VILACOTO – visit to Vilacoto with Sergi Sales
Guided tour by Plegadis to the area of Vilacoto, a large lagoon managed exclusively for hunting, closed to the public and not accessible to birders. Now, with these guided tours you can discover this hidden lagoon, which most visitors of the Delta have never heard of. This is one of the few breeding spots in the Delta of the Iberian subspecies of the Reed Bunting.

A SECRET PARADISE IN THE DELTA – Visit to l’Alfacada with Mariano Cebolla
Being a private natural reserve owned by the FCLP, this lagoon is one of the least known of the Delta. The Foundation has arranged itineraries and hides to allow controlled visits. During the Festival you can join several tours to visit this jewel of the Delta with the guide-photographer as Mariano Cebolla. Includes an exhibition of bird ringing.

THE HIDDEN SOUNDS OF THE DELTA – Introductory workshop to the materials and methods for the recording of nature sounds with Eloïsa Matheu

Hands-on workshop to learn sound recording techniques with Eloïsa Matheu. There will be recorders, microphones and other material for the participants to test all these devices in real conditions. You’ll record “hidden” sounds inside the reed beds, bushes and in any other corner you could imagine, including under the water with the use of subaquatic recorders. And don’t worry, there is no sound that can hide from the recorders of Eloïsa Matheu.

GREEN BIRDING – Birding promenade in the Delta with electric bikes with Ponç Feliu & Gary Prescott
17 km circular promenade by electric bike around the lagoon of La Tancada with stops in the viewpoints and strategic points to watch birds, visiting the green filters of l’Embut, a unique spot in the Delta. We’ll use electric bikes to cycle comfortably this distance without getting tired. Two guides, Ponç Feliu and Gary Prescott will point out the wildlife and flora we’ll see during the trip.
