Oriol Alamany is a very special nature photographer who combines wildlife photography with a particular photo technique to achieve jaw dropping results. Since decades ago, this renowned photographer (with prizes in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year in three occasions, for example), travels all over the world to show what he sees and what he feels in unique images.
In the DBF, Alamany will talk and show us images of the Svalvard Islands, located around 80ºN, that is, fully in the Arctic Circle. These are islands with a special spell that once lured restless explorers and now lure photographers and nature lovers -who are also restless- to admire their landscape and wildlife. Oriol Alamany is one of them. Fascinated by the beauty of the Svalvard, he has traveled to these islands five times and relates that all of them have been a memorable experience. The Arctic sea ice, the seabirds and a wildlife adapted to extreme conditions have hipnotized this passionate photographer.
